The Ukrainian Film Club in Estonia was founded in February 2023 with the support of the Embassy of Ukraine. The project promotes Ukrainian cinema internationally, introduces Estonian audiences to classic and contemporary Ukrainian films, and provides a space for Ukrainians to connect, preserve their cultural identity, and maintain an emotional bond with their homeland.
Since its establishment, the Film Club has organized dozens of screenings in Tallinn and other Estonian cities, launched bilateral cultural initiatives, and participated in the international PÖFF Black Nights Film Festival. Through cooperation with Ukrainian and Estonian filmmakers, diplomatic missions, and cultural organizations, the Film Club has become a platform for cultural dialogue between Ukraine and Estonia.
